Position Summary

Ultimate Staffing is currently hiring a Purchasing Specialist to support a dynamic organization in Fort Worth, TX. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity offering an annual salary range of $50,000-$60,000.

The Purchasing Specialist will play a critical role in sourcing raw materials and managing end-to-end procurement activities to ensure materials are available on time, within budget, and aligned with operational and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute weekly vendor forecasts and follow up to confirm supplier commitments.
  • Review MRP outputs and generate, release, and manage purchase orders within SAP/Avatar systems.
  • Adjust and reschedule purchase orders weekly based on updated MRP requirements using email communications or PO Management tools in Avatar.
  • Track material availability through MO Shortage and related reports, providing timely status updates to stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot material shortages and issues, coordinate dispositions, and maintain clear communication with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Create MIT requests and collaborate with customs brokers to facilitate cross-dock shipments.
  • Manage daily activities related to raw material planning, procurement, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
  • Ensure assigned materials are delivered and received on schedule to support production requirements.
  • Conduct weekly audits of purchase order pricing for both open and received orders, and work closely with Accounts Payable to support accurate payment processing.
  • Oversee return-to-vendor (RTV) and scrap processes for nonconforming materials, including shipments, debit notes, and tracking.
  • Monitor and report on cross-dock material status, ensuring pending shipments are properly assigned and documented.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of purchasing experience with ME or EE materials, including an understanding of material specifications and MRP logic.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with overseas suppliers or in supply chain operations.
  • Proficiency with ERP and SRM systems; strong advanced Excel skills.
  • Supply Chain certifications such as APICS CPIM, CIPS, or Six Sigma are preferred.

  • Monday through Friday, first shift
